Hi Everyone,
Do you remember way back in elementary school when a boy liked you he would give you little trinkets to show his affection for you? Obviously, before they picked on you and teased you, they actually tried the sweet approach first. Well this little cutie reminded me of those days!
This sweet image is from the Greeting Farm. I have entered him in the Sweet Stampin Challenge - Masculine, Creative Card Crew #4 - Masculine and the Outlawz Copic Challenge - Inspired by a Song or Movie. The song is 'Bashful Boy' by Cranky George. I stamped him with memento ink on some neenah cardstock and then coloured him with copics. The papers are by MME called Blink of an Eye. I used a star border punch as well as some SB nesties. I had some fun with the CB Argyle embossing folder to match the papers. I used my stickles for the middle of the flower and some liquid glass on his shoes and buttons to make them shiny. Some paper piecing was done on his hat and knickers. Lastly, I gave him a fluffy scarf with some grey flock. Tied it all together with some ribbon and jewels.
This is wonderful Darlene! I love the song you picked for this! Super coloring and fabulous papers. So clever of you to pick gems to match the shape in the paper.
ReplyDeleteLoved this when I saw it over at the Outlawz. Beautiful card even if it is masculine. Love your coloring and your image. So so cute.
ReplyDeleteWow Darlene, I think this card is one of my favourites to date! Your colouring is excellent and you certainly have mastered that paper piecing technique. On top of all that you really know how to put the whole package together. Beautiful! Oh and by the way I'm happy we could spend this day together for obvious reasons, you're such a pleasant distraction girlie!
ReplyDeleteSUPER cute card! LOVE the papers, LO, and paper-piecing! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog a few days ago and becoming a follower. I'm now your newest follower and I can't wait to see what you create next!
